Benefits Administrator (BF)

Benefits Administrator will be responsible for the implementation, communication, and administration of benefit programs for employees and retired employees. This role will manage the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs in compliance with benefit laws and regulations.

Essential Functions:
Implement, communicate and administer all US benefits programs, processes and systems. This includes group medical, dental, vision, life insurance, accidental death & dismemberment, disability, state and Federal leaves, EAP, flexible accounts, pension plan, and 401(k) plan. Ability to develop, recommend, and implement new or modified plans. Assure company complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to benefits plans including ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, FMLA, etc. Monitor effectiveness of programs and makes recommendations on benefits enhancements and changes, model cost impact, improve processes and plan designs to reduce costs and increase efficiency. Develop and implement annual open enrollment process. Communicate to employees and former employees about benefit programs, procedures, and changes. Monitor and evaluate HR and Payroll systems to ensure they adequately support benefits administration. Handle benefits inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution. Vendor management. Manage company wellness programs.

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required. 4-8 years of benefits experience. Experience implementing benefits plan/programs. Experience overseeing multiple sites in different states. Knowledge of compliance requirements for health and retirement benefits plans. Experience with 401k and pension plans. Workday or other cloud-based system. Strong Excel skills with proficiency in the use of functions and pivot tables. Proactive and solutions oriented, takes initiative and follows through. Highly organized and strong attention to detail. Ability to work in a team environment.
