Human Resources Manager (BF)
Job Location: Parsippany, NJ
Out client is currently seeking a Human Resources, Manager in Morris County, NJ location. This position serves as the primary (HR) contact for corporate managers and employees from assigned departments on issues related to staffing, training, employee relations, compensation, and benefits. This position partners with managers to implement strategic goals and objectives that support the company's overall business objectives. Additionally, this position provides counsel to managers to ensure compliance to state and federal employment laws, and assists in the formulation, administration, and enforcement of company policies and procedures. Lastly, this position acts as a liaison with compensation and benefits to communicate and responds to employee needs and inquiries.
In this position, you will counsel managers and employees from assigned departments in the resolution of employee relations issues using knowledge of federal/state law and company policy. You will also receive and resolve employee complaints, assist in investigations when required, and provide guidance and recommendations for problem resolution. Additionally, you will serve as a frontline contact for managers attempting to resolve compensation issues. You will monitor accuracy of job descriptions, exemption status of positions, timekeeping procedures, etc., to ensure that state and federal wage and hour statutes are being adhered to on a consistent basis. Additionally, in this position, you will work with training and organizational development professionals on development of in-house training programs for employees, as well as coordinate quarterly new hire orientations. You will work with the Corporate Recruiter to source, recruit, and interview employees. Concurrently, in this position, you will assist in the creation and/or revise HR policies, conduct exit interviews for terminating employees and perform other related duties as required. Lastly, you will take an active role in cross-functional, inter-departmental teams or committees representing HR in support of company goals and objectives.
10% travel time required.
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Human Resources Management or Business Administration. Candidates should have at least 5+ year’s progressive HR experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry. Candidates should have a strong knowledge of state and federal employment statutes, strong written and verbal skills, communication skills, presentation skills, organizational and problem-solving skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
